About us

WLP-Law was founded on a handshake in Amsterdam in 2010. Our partners are dedicated corporate lawyers and/or tax advisers. In 2021 we strengthened the firm with a civil law notary and notarial division. With such addition, we are able to serve our clients even better. Solving our clients’ concerns and problems is essential to our business.

We are a boutique law firm, specialized in corporate and commercial law, (inter)national tax law and notarial law. We offer legal and tax advice of the highest level, yet always with our personal touch, a proactive and hands-on approach. All our partners have gained several decades of experience at major law firms and ‘Big Four’ firms, and are considered experts in their field. They form a solid team of professionals who put our clients’ needs above all else.

We are an independent law firm, which mainly focuses on clients with international activities and/or ambitions. Thanks to our excellent business relationships with comparable leading law- and tax firms at home and abroad (best friends network), in all major jurisdictions, we can advise a broad spectrum of companies, all over the world.

WLP-Law has a distinctive structure. Our ratio of employees to partners is significantly lower than with larger firms; WLP-Law does not have a ‘pyramidical’ structure. This way, we can offer a truly personal approach. It enables us to achieve excellent results for our clients. All in all, we look forward to serve you at WLP-Law.

Julia Kids Foundation

Giving back!

The Julia Kids Foundation, a non-profit organization based in the Netherlands with ‘ANBI status’, aims to provide children facing disadvantages with a fair opportunity in society. The foundation is named after Julia, a young woman with Down syndrome.

The foundation’s inaugural project involves supporting the ‘Sunlight Kids House’ for boys, located in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam. ‘Sunlight’ provides shelter for approximately 26 boys who, for various reasons, lack a home. The boys’ ages range from 4 to 18 years old. Previously living on the streets, they can now find refuge within the ‘Sunlight’ house. Here, they receive shelter, medical and dental care, food, and clothing. All the boys are enrolled in local schools or receive education within the Sunlight premises. They live together, share meals, and engage in extracurricular activities. The house is staffed by two supervisors and a cook.

At WLP-Law, we are committed to making a positive impact on society. Therefore, our office supports the ‘Julia Kids Foundation’. Through our donation, we contribute to fulfilling the daily needs of these boys.

Sunlight house

Sunlight House is one of four orphanages in Ho Chi Minh City sponsored by the Netherlands through the K.I.D.S Foundation. This organization maintains contact with WOCA, the Women’s Charity Organization HCMC, which oversees the management and allocation of funds for the houses. Every euro directly benefits the boys.

Some of the boys have lost their parents, others have experienced parental divorce, and some are without known parents, leading them to end up on the streets. In such cases, the police get in touch with WOCA, and if there is available space in one of the houses, the child is accommodated.

In addition to supporting the Sunlight Kids House, the foundation also contributes to the Thien Phuoc House in Ho Chi Minh City for disabled children. Initially established for victims of ‘Agent Orange’ from the Vietnam War, the house currently hosts around 60 severely disabled children. These children receive daily care, including bathing, feeding, and manual therapy. Sister Le Kim Chi, a nun, and her nursing staff provide round-the-clock guidance, seven days a week, with unwavering smiles!
